Our school system is outstanding, combining traditional learning of the basics with new age technology. Our streets are protected by an outstanding, professional police force and in fact O'Neill's conviction rate is among the highest in second class cities within the state. A large, well-supported volunteer fire department provides additional public safety as does the competent ambulance/EMT services and quality medical facilities in the community.
O'Neill
has a strong plan for growth. In April, 2004, the City adopted a new
Comprehensive Plan, an Economic Development Strategic Plan, and an
updated blight study. O'Neill is a city of opportunity and is poised
for growth and prosperity into the next century.
