Our streets are protected by an outstanding, professional police force and in fact O'Neill's conviction rate is among the highest in second class cities within the state. A large, well-supported volunteer fire department provides additional public safety as does the competent ambulance/EMT services and quality medical facilities in the community.

O'Neill has a strong plan for growth. In April, 2004, the City adopted a new Comprehensive Plan, an Economic Development Strategic Plan, and an updated blight study. O'Neill is a city of opportunity and is poised for growth and prosperity into the next century.
